Wrestedt (Samtgemeinde)

The Samtgemeinde Wrestedt was a Samtgemeinde midst of the Lüneburg Heath in the district of Uelzen, Lower Saxony. It consisted of the municipalities Stadensen, Wieren and Wrestedt. Administrative headquarters of the velvet municipality was Wrestedt. On November 1, 2011, the communities disintegrated and formed the new municipality Wrestedt, belonging to the Samtgemeinde Aue, administrative seat of the velvet municipality is in turn Wrestedt.

The Samtgemeinderat had 20 seats. Last Samtgemeinde mayor was Harald Benecke.
