Wunderman

Wunderman is a network of advertising, marketing and consulting firm with offices in 55 countries. Based in New York City, Wunderman is part of Young & Rubicam Brands, and thus a member of the international WPP Group.

History

Founder Lester Wunderman is widely regarded as the creator of the modern direct marketing, which he coined in a speech at MIT in 1967. He opened Wunderman, Ricotta & Klein in 1958. 's Early innovations of the Agency also includes the Columbia Record Club, the toll-free number for business ( developed for a Toyota campaign ) and the magazine subscription card.

The long- term business relationship with American Express eventually led to the first customer advantage program with which a breakthrough in customer retention could be achieved and that has since been copied many times by retailers and the tourism industry.

Wunderman, Ricotta & Klein was taken over in 1973 by Young & Rubicam. Since then, the agency has broadened its range of services in the fields of interactive advertising, strategy consulting and data analysis.

In the late 1990s, the agency was briefly renamed Impiric before you started to think the origin and only 6 months later changed the name to Wunderman.

In Germany Wunderman has been present since 1971 and located in the cities of Frankfurt, Cologne, Munich, Dusseldorf and Hamburg, with about 350 employees

Today

Wunderman is currently the world's largest marketing services network. This currently consists of 15 companies and 130 offices in 55 countries.
