Wûnseradiel

Wûnseradiel (Dutch: Wonseradeel ( listen / i)) is a former municipality of the province of Friesland (Netherlands). It has 11,849 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2010). Since January 1, 2011 Wûnseradiel is part of the newly formed community Súdwest Fryslân.

The administrative headquarters are Witmarsum, the other places in the municipality are: Allingawier, Arkum, Arum, Atzeburen, Baarderburen, Baburen, Breezanddijk, Burgwerd, Cornwerd, De Blokken, Dedgum, Dijksterburen, Doniaburen, Eemswoude, Engwier, Exmorra, Exmorrazijl, Ferwoude, Gaast, Gooium, Grauwe Kat, Harkezijl, Hartwerd, Hayum, Hemert, Hichtum, Hieslum, Idsegahuizum, Idserdaburen, It Fliet, Jonkershuizen, Jousterp, Kampen, Kimswerd, Kooihuizen, Kornwerderzand, Koudehuizum, Lollum, Longerhouw, Makkum, Oosthem, Parrega, Piaam, Pingjum, Rijtseterp, Scharneburen, Schettens, Schraard, beach, Tjerkwerd, Vierhuizen, bliss Buren, Wons and Zurich.

The places Kornwerderzand and Breezanddijk be on completion of the dike on which the community Wûnseradiel to the municipality of Wieringen the province of North Holland ( district of Den Oever ) borders. Around 20 km of the 32 km long dike completion belong to Wûnseradiel, and the remainder to Wieringen.
