Xavier Pentecôte

Xavier Pentecôte ( born August 13, 1986 in Saint- Dié -des-Vosges ) is a French football player. Since August 2011 he is at OGC Nice under contract.

Pentecôte was from the 2004/05 season in the first team of FC Toulouse, earlier, he had been active for their youth team. Matchday 33 of the season 2004/ 05 he came to his first Erstligaeinsatz. Coach Erik Mombaerts changed Pentecôte in the 59th minute for Jean Louis Akpa Akpro. The game was lost 1:2 against SC Bastia. The young attacker rarely was used and in the first few years, usually in the shadow of Daniel Moreira, Francileudo Silva dos Santos, Nicolas Dieuze, Johan Elmander, Fode Mansaré and Bryan Bergougnoux, decided the club officials, him for the season 2007/ 08 rent to the second division SC Bastia. At Island Club is Pentecôte developed for regular players and scored his first professional hit; then he returned to Toulouse. In January 2010, he moved again for a half series on loan to Bastia. In August 2011, OGC Nice secured first division for four years Pentecôtes services.

National

2007 Pentecôte was nominated in the squad of the French U- 21 team for the tournament of Toulon. In this competition, the striker scored three goals, all in a 4-1 victory in the first round game against Germany. In the end, the team won the tournament.
