Yair Shamir

Ja'ir Shamir (Hebrew יאיר שמיר; born March 18, 1945 in Ramat Gan ) is since March 18, 2013 Israeli Minister of Agriculture.

Family

He was born the son of Yitzhak Shamir. It was named after Avraham Stern " Ja'ir ", the founder of the group Lehi. Shamir grew up in Tel Aviv.
