Yangzom Brauen

Yangzom Brauen ( born April 18, 1980 in Bern ) is a Swiss actress.

Life

She is the daughter of Swiss ethnologist Martin Brauen and Tibetan artist Sonam Dolma and grew up in Münchwilen and Bern. In 2001 she moved to Berlin, since 2008, she lives in Los Angeles. There they got married end of September 2012 the entrepreneur Hadi Salem.

Yangzom Brauen began after training at the Bern drama school her acting career with small roles in theater and in Swiss television productions before in Æon Flux gave her Hollywood debut in 2005 as villainess. Since then she has played in several independent films such as A2Z or Asudem of Daryush Shokof and received a supporting role in Wilde Salome, Al Pacino's adaptation of Oscar Wilde's Salomé drama.
