Yann Arthus-Bertrand

Yann Arthus- Bertrand ( born March 13, 1946 in Paris ) is a French photographer, journalist, reporter and environmentalist. He works as a photo journalist in the field of sport and nature. His spectacular aerial photographs in books and films made ​​him internationally known.

Life

Yann Arthus -Bertrand comes from a family of jewelers and medalists. He initially worked as an assistant director and also appeared as an actor in two movies (1965 and 1970). In 1976, the trained biologist, who had managed a zoo in France, with his wife Anne for three years in the Kenyan Masai Mara National Park to document the life of a lion family photographs. Commitment to environmental protection

In 1993 Arthus -Bertrand funded by the UNESCO Project Earth from above ( Earth from Above ), a photographic and film inventory of the earth.
