Yannick Riendeau

Yannick Riendeau ( born June 18, 1988 in Brossard, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since February 2012 at the New York Islanders in the National Hockey League under contract on their farm team, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the American Hockey League plays.

Career

Yannick Riendeau began his career as a hockey player with the Huskies de Rouyn -Noranda, where he was active in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL 2004-2008. Subsequently, the winger moved to the league rivals Voltigeurs de Drummondville, which he in the season 2008/ 09, the Coupe du Président, the QMJHL championship won. At this success, he played a major role. He was elected to the All-Star team in the league. As top scorer of the regular season with 126 points, he received the Trophée Jean Béliveau. With 58 goals and 68 originals, he also cited these statistics. In the subsequent playoffs, he was again top scorer with 29 goals and 52 points scorer. As Most Valuable Player of the playoffs then he received the Trophée Guy Lafleur. Even within the Canadian Hockey League, he was one of the top players in 2009 and was elected team in the CHL First All -Star and won the CHL Top Scorer Award, and the George Parsons Trophy. Because of its strong season, he was to have been drafted on 30 March 2010 without jezuvor of the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League contracted.

In the 2009/10 season Riendeau ran for the farm team of the Boston Bruins, Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League and the Reading Royals of the ECHL.

On 27 February 2012 it transferred the Boston Bruins along with Marc Cantin in exchange for Mike Mottau and Brian Rolston to the New York Islanders.
