Yassin Mikari

Yassin Mikari ( born January 9, 1983 in Zurich ) is a Swiss- Tunisian football player. He has both nationalities.

Career

In the club

Mikari grew up in Zurich. In his youth he first played at FC Under rhinestones, before he moved to the youth department of FC Zurich. In the summer of 2001 he went to the local rivals Grasshoppers Zurich.

In the National League A, as at that time was called the top flight of Switzerland, he made his debut on May 4, 2002 game against BSC Young Boys, when he came on in the 75th minute for Eduardo Dos Santos. At 4-1 away victory, he contributed the preliminary decision forming a 2-1. In his second season, when he was national champion with the club, he was three times on the court. Overall, the left foot came at GCZ to five appearances in the Premier League.

After two years Mikari moved to FC Luzern in the Challenge League. In his first year, he drew attention to himself with seven goals this season. In the second year, he went to two league goals in ten games and was recruited in January 2005 from Premier League rivals FC Winterthur. With strong performances he recommended for a commitment in the first division and in January 2007 he returned to the Grasshoppers. Originally used in the left side of midfield, he pushed Kim Jaggy on the position of the left outside defender. In 2009 he moved to FC Sochaux.

In July 2013 he returned to his country of birth and signed with FC Luzern a three-year contract until the end of the season 2016/17.

In the National Team

Mikari approached for various youth national teams of the Swiss Union, most recently in the Under-21 team, for whom he played seven games.

Mikari was included in the 2007/ 08 season to the senior national team of Tunisia, with whom he also Africas Cup 2008 and 2010 played.
