Yekaterina Grigoryeva

Ekaterina Grigorieva (Russian Екатерина Григорьева, English transcription Yekaterina Grigoryeva, born Лещёва - Leschtschowa - Leshchyova / Leshcheva, . Born 21 April 1974) is a former Russian sprinter.

At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995, she reached the semi-finals over 100m. The following year she was at the Olympics in Atlanta part of the Russian team that came in fourth place in the 4 x 100 - meter relay.

In 1997, she was about 60 m at the Fifth World Indoor Athletics Championships in Paris. At the World Championships in Athens, she was about 200 meters Fourth and Fifth with the Russian relay. Shortly thereafter she took at the Universiade gold over 200 m. In the Indoor Athletics Championships 2000 in Ghent, she won bronze over the same distance.

In 2001 she retired from the World Championships in Edmonton in flow over 200 m. As they tested positive for a banned substance in the doping control, she was disqualified and banned for two years.

She married the sprinter Andrei Grigoriev 2004 and returned back into the competition scene. In 2006 she won the European Championships in Gothenburg silver of 200 m, with the Russian team gold in the 4 x 100 - meter relay. At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka she was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
