Yidu, Hubei

The city Yidu (Chinese宜都市, Pinyin yidu ) is a county-level city in Hubei Province in the southeast of the People's Republic of China. It belongs to the administrative territory of the prefecture-level city of Yichang. Yidu has an area of 1,357 km ² and is 376 974 inhabitants ( 2004). Seat of government is the road Lucheng District (陆 城 街道).

The former residence and the grave of Shoujing Yang (Yang Shoujing guju hey mu杨守敬 故居 和 墓) are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 6-995 ) since 2006.

Administrative Divisions

At the community level there is an administrative district of a road district, five large municipalities and four municipalities ( one of the Tujia ) together.
