Yoon Yong-il

Yoon Yong -il ( Kor. 윤용일; born September 23, 1973 in Daegu ) is a former South Korean tennis player.

Career

Yoon Yong -il was able to win four titles in his career on the ATP Challenger Tour, including one in singles and three in doubles. All the doubles title he won with compatriot Lee Hyung- taik. At the Asian Games in 1998 he won the individual and the team competition gold medal, in a double silver medal. In the subsequent games, he won another silver medal with the team.

He participated in the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996. In the doubles competition, he retired together with Lee Hyung- taik out already in the first round. He and Lee were subject Wayne and Byron Black of Zimbabwe in two sets. Also at the Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney, he took together with Lee Hyung- taik in part on the doubles tournament. After beating the Chilean Nicolás pairing Massú and Marcelo Ríos in the first round, they failed in the second round of the German Tommy Haas and David Prinosil.

Yoon Yong -il played between 1993 and 2002 a total of 16 matches for the South Korean Davis Cup team. During his solo record with 16:10 was positive, was his double negative balance with 3:4.
