Yoriko Shono

Yoriko Shono (Japanese笙 野 頼 子, Shono Yoriko, March 16, 1956 ) is a Japanese writer.

Shono is a representative of the Junbungaku literature, of "pure literature ". She enjoys great reputation among the Japanese literary criticism; according to many are the literary prizes, with whom she has been awarded: 1981 she was awarded for the novel Gokuraku the Gunzo Young Investigator Award, 1991 Nanimo shite nai the Noma Literary Prize for debutants. In 1994, she was awarded the Akutagawa Prize for Taimu surippu konbināto and the Mishima Prize for Nihyakkaiki. For Yukai morimusume Ibun she received the 2001 Izumi Kyoka Literary Prize - and Kompira 2005 Itō -Sei Prize for Literature.
