Yorkshire and the Humber

Yorkshire and The Humber is one of the nine regions of England. Its territory covers most of the traditional county of Yorkshire, in addition to the northern part of Lincolnshire, who belonged to the former County of Humberside.

The region is divided into the following counties, unitary authorities and Metropolitian District:

The region was originally called Yorkshire and Humberside and consisted of the counties of North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Humberside. After Humberside divided, abolished the counties of West and South Yorkshire and York was released from North Yorkshire, was today's administrative division. The old name is still used occasionally today.

Economy

Expressed in comparison with the EU GDP in purchasing power standards, the region reached an index of 102.8 (EU -25: 100 ) (2003 ).
