Youki Kudoh

Youki Kudoh (Japanese工藤 夕 贵, Kudō Yūki, born January 17, 1971 in Hachioji ) is a Japanese actress and singer.

Life and achievements

Kudoh began at the age of 12 years, a career as a singer. As an actress she made her debut in a major role in the comedy The Family with the reverse jet propulsion in 1984, for which she received a prize from the Yokohama Film Festival in 1985. In 1986, she sang all the songs for the anime a Wonderful Pollyanna. For her starring role in the comedy Mystery Train ( 1989) by Jim Jarmusch, she won the Independent Spirit Award in 1990.
