Yue ware

The Yue Yue kilns or yao (Chinese越窑, Pinyin Yao Yue, Yue Kiln English ) are at the site of the ancient Yue kilns at Shanglin Hu for their celadon famous and going back to the time of the Eastern Han Dynasty pottery kilns from the time of the Tang Dynasty about the Five Dynasties to the beginning of the song dynasty in Cixi, formerly of Yuyao county, in the Chinese province of Zhejiang. You are at the Shanglinhu reservoir ( Hu Shanglin Shuiku ). In the old days the place to Yuezhou越 州(the " Yue Prefecture " ), hence the name of the place belonged.

The kilns in the circles of Yuezhou the Tang Dynasty are all part of the Yue kilns ( from the seven circles Kuaiji会稽, Shanyin山阴, Zhuji诸暨, Yuyao余姚, Shanxian剡 县, Xiaoshan萧山and Shangyu上虞). The hue of its glaze color is in Chinese (greenish / bluish) called qīng, with a slightly yellowish impact. There, manufactured goods were discovered in Pakistan, Iran, Egypt and Japan.

The site of the ancient Yue kilns at Shanglin Lake (上林 湖 越窑 遗址, Shanglin Yueyao Hu Yizhi ) in Cixi, Zhejiang province, since 1988 is on the list monuments of the PRC ( 3-222 ).
