Yves Simoneau

Yves Simoneau ( born October 28, 1955 in Québec City, Québec ) is a Canadian film director, producer and screenwriter.

Life and achievements

Simoneau created some short films and about 30 commercials. He works in Canada and the United States and directed the thriller Deadly Intent (1994 ) with Jamie Lee Curtis, the black-humored comedy film Free Money (1998) with Charlie Sheen and Marlon Brando, the Court movie Nuremberg - In the name of humanity (2000) with Alec Baldwin, the action film ignition - ignition Deadly (2001) with Bill Pullman, the miniseries Napoleon ( 2002) with Christian Clavier and Isabella Rossellini and the pilot episode of the series 4400 - the returnees ( 2004).

At the International Film Festival in Berlin in 1987 Simoneau was nominated for the Golden Bear for In the Shadow of the Wind (Les Fous de Bassan ). 1987, there were two Genie Award nominations for In the Shadow of Power ( Pouvoir intimate ) in the categories of Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, the latter shared with Pierre Curzi. 2001 Simoneau was nominated for a Gemini Award for his direction in the miniseries Nuremberg - In the name of humanity. In 2003 he received for his direction in this film, the award 7 d'Or Night. Followed in 2005, shared with others, an Emmy nomination for the 4400 - The returnees best series. As a director of the TV movie Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, he was nominated for this award at the Emmy Awards 2007.
