Zähringer (crater)

Zähringerplatz is a small impact crater near the southeastern edge of Mare Tranquillitatis. In the northeast of the flooded crater of lava Lawrence and in a southeasterly direction, the Secchi mountains with the eponymous crater Secchi. Further east is the large crater Taruntius.

Zähringerplatz has a circular, bowl -like shape and contains the center of the sloping interior walls of a small crater floor. Erosionspuern by subsequent impacts are not available.

Before he by the International Astronomical Union ( IAU) got its own name in 1976, he was referred to as ' Taruntius E'.
