The Zaranj Airport (English: Zaranj Airport ) is a domestic airport in Zaranj in Afghanistan.

Location and Directions

The airport is located in the Iran -Afghan border region, about 150 kilometers northeast of Zahedan away in Iran. The town of Zaranj is located southwest of the airport. The Iranian air space is located just three nautical miles west of the airport.

Accidents

On June 18, 1989 accident one, coming from the Kabul airport, Antonov 26 en route to Zaranj. Here, 6 of the 39 occupants were killed.
