Zborov nad Bystricou

Zborov nad Bystricou ( to 1927 Slovak Zborov; Hungarian Felsőzboró ) is a municipality in the north - central Slovakia with 2230 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011), the Region belongs to Okres Čadca, a part of the Žilinský.

Geography

The community is located between the mountains and the Kysucké Beskydy mountains Kysucká highlands in the valley of the river Bystrica, a tributary of the Kysuca. It belongs to the traditional landscape Kysuca. The center is located at an altitude of 420 m nm and is located 12 kilometers from Čadca, 30 miles from Zilina.

History

Zborov nad Bystricou was first mentioned in writing in 1635 and was developed as part of the Wallachian colonization of the area. In 1640 it is run as a village.
