Zbyněk Krompolc

Zbynek Krompolc (* May 29, 1978 in Čeladná ) is a former Czech ski jumper.

Krompolc jumped at December 11, 1993 for the first time in the Ski Jumping World Cup. He reached the 48th place in Planica. A day later, he could jump with space 15 on the same ski jump for the first time in the World Cup points. On December 17, he jumped in Courchevel already for the first time in the top ten and reached the 9th place. At the Junior World Championships in 1994 in Breitenwang he won on the K90 ski jump bronze medal in singles and a silver medal with the team.

At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, where he was the youngest athlete in the Czech team with 15 years, he reached on the normal hill and 36th in the large hill to the 29th place. In the team competition, he reached the 7th place together with Jaroslav Sakala, Ladislav Dluhoš and Jiří Parma.

After the Olympics Krompolc remained without great success. His best results he achieved in the team competition as well as in ski flying in Vikersund 1995. During the Nordic World Ski Championships 1995, he reached on the K90 ski jump to 55th place in the individual competition.

Krompolc began with jumping in the Continental Cup, but could not get good service there as well as in 1999 and finished at the same time his career in the World and Continental Cup at the age of 21 years.
