Zhang Jie (weightlifter)

Zhang Jie ( born August 26, 1987 in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China) is a Chinese weightlifter. He was 2010 World Champion in pushing featherweight and vice-world champion in single combat.

Career

Like most of the Chinese world -class weightlifter was discovered at a young age in a talent search action at his school in his hometown of Fuzhou for the weightlifting and Zhang Jie. Through targeted training he reached the age of 16 such good performances that he was accepted into the extended squad of the Chinese weightlifting team. At 18, he was employed in the Asian championship of men in Dubai featherweight and won there with 295 kg ( 132-163 ) in a duel right away the championship ahead of his compatriot Li Chunseng, which reached 288 kg.

2007 Zhang Jie was in Prague Junior World Featherweight Champion achieved with 306 kg ( 136-170 ) before Liu Xin, China, 305 kg ( 137-168 ) and the Indonesian Triyatno who came to 300 kg. In April of 2008, he then scored at the Asian Championship in Kanazawa / Japan 326 kg ( 147-179 ) a new duel - world record in the featherweight and once again won the Asian Championship title in front of the Indonesian Eko Yuli Irawan, 305 kg, and Umurbek Basarbajew from Turkmenistan, which came to 296 kg ( 136-160 ). Surprisingly, he was then not used at the Olympic Games in Beijing.

In 2009, Zhang Jie slipped up at the Chinese Championships. After 142 kg in the snatch and jerk he brought into existence a valid trial and therefore could not place without duel performance in this championship. The consequence was that he was employed in any international championship in 2009. In 2010 he won the Chinese champion featherweight title and came up with a duel capacity of 324 kg ( 146-178 ) close up to his world record. He let it Qin Yifu, 318 kg ( 139-179 ) and Yu Tao, 317 kg ( 142-175 ) behind. At the World Championships this year in Antalya he did not make this performance and was a duel output of 315 kg ( 141-174 ) behind the North Korean Kim Un Guk, 320 kg ( 147-173 ) scored only on the 2nd place. The main reason was that it is a valid attempt mustered in travel. In thrusting, he won the world title with 174 kg before the North Koreans. The place in November 2010 Asian Championships in Guangzhou, he succeeded then, to reciprocate. He won there with 321 kg ( 145-176 ) his third Asian champion Kim Un Guk title before, came to 317 kg ( 147-170 ).

In April 2011, Zhang Jie won then in Tongling / China again at the Asian Championships and lifted it a duel capacity of 317 kg ( 147-170 ), with whom he and before the two North Koreans Kim Un Guk, 306 kg ( 140-166 ) Cha Kum Chol, 298 kg ( 131-167 ) won.
