Žichlínek

Žichlínek ( German Sicheldorf, formerly Sisstoff, Waazen and 1304 Sichlingsdorf ) is a municipality with 866 inhabitants in the Czech Republic.

Geography

Žichlínek is located in Pardubice Region (Czech Republic) south of the city Lanškroun the course of the Moravian Sázava and extends about three kilometers from north to south.

Neighboring towns are Lanškroun and Sázava in the north, Lubník in the east, and Tatenice Krasíkov the southeast, Rychnov na Moravě in the south, Květná in the southwest, Luková in the west and Rudoltice in the northwest.

History

The village was first mentioned in documents as Sichlingsdorf in 1304. It was inhabited from the foundation to the expulsion of 1945/1946 mainly from Deutschmährern. 1886 was the Erbgericht in Sicheldorf over by Erbkauf to the Neugebauer family. Ignaz Vincenz Neugebauer ran a cloth goods manufactory in Landskron and was imperial-royal and princely Liechtenstein'scher purveyor.

Demographics

In 1869 the town had 949 inhabitants, in 1910 there were 861 inhabitants in 1939 and 708 inhabitants lived in Žichlínek.
