Zinner (crater)

4:56

Zinner is a small impact crater in Oceanus Procellarum north of the crater Schiaparelli. It lies on a straight beam that runs from the crater Seleucus from the northeast. In the northwest of the slightly larger crater Golgi is located. To the east extends the seamounts of the Dorsa Burnet.

Zinner is circular and cup-shaped and has a very high albedo relative to the surrounding Mare on.

Before he by the International Astronomical Union ( IAU) in 1973 got his own name, he was known as ' Schiaparelli B'.
