Zoë Johnston

Zoë Johnston is a British singer- songwriter who is best known for her collaborations with Faithless, Above & Beyond, Bent, and Delerium.

Biography

Zoë grew up in Nottinghamshire. Her debut was in 2000 as Zed J with the band Neon Heights, for which she sang a few songs of her album A View From The Heights. At the same time she wrote lyrics for Bent's debut album Programmed to Love. Her voice was also heard in the songs Private Road and Swollen.

2001 Zoë began a collaboration with the British band Faithless. She accompanied the band on their world tour and had major appearances at several festivals such as the Glastonbury Festival and Rock Werchter. A big success they could achieve with the song Crazy English Summer.

On 27 November 2006 Zoë released her first solo album happenstances at Shiva Records. The album includes an original version of Crazy English Summer, which was first released on the album Outrospective of Faithless.

Further cooperation they had with The Beautiful South, Sleepthief, Delerium and Above & Beyond, with whom she released the singles No One On Earth and Good For Me. In the years 2004 and 2006, the two songs were also selected in each Armin van Buuren A State of Trance radio show to "Tune of the Year".
