Zoltán Harcsa

Zoltán Adam Harcsa ( born November 20, 1992) is a Hungarian boxer at middleweight.

Boxing career

It was 2007 Hungarian disciple Master, 2008 Hungarian Junior Champion, Hungarian Junior Champion in 2009 and 2010, 2011 and 2012 Hungarian Champion. In 2013 he only lost in the final against Balázs Bácskai and thus was runner-up.

His first major success internationally succeeded at the 2008 13th Junior European Championships in Plovdiv. Through victories against eret Rexha from Albania ( 11:2 ), Gleb Sapowal from Moldova ( 19:6 ) and Deimantas Mickevicius from Lithuania ( TKO ), he had advanced to the finals, where he defeated the Russian Magomed Patijew in the first round.

Another silver medal he won in 2009 at the 21th European Youth Championships in Szczecin. Through victories against Adrijan Knežević from Croatia ( TKO ), Vladislav Woitaljuk from Ukraine ( 7:4 ) and Murad Agamalijew from Azerbaijan ( TKO ), he was drafted again into the final, where he this time the German Tyron witness ( 0:4 ) on points subject.

In 2010 he took part in the 2nd Youth World Championships in Baku and won a bronze medal. However, in the subsequent second round he lost to the Ukrainian Yevhen Chytrow early in the first round.

In 2012 he participated in the 30th Summer Olympic Games in London, where he defeated José Espinosa from Venezuela ( 16:13 ) and Mujandjae Kasuto from Namibia ( 16:7 ), before the quarter-final against Esquiva Falcão from Brazil ( 10:14 ) eliminated.

At the European Championships 2013 in Minsk, he rose after a bye in the first round an equal in the second round. After a win against the Armenen Arman Howikjan (2:1 ), he reached the quarterfinals, where he was able to prevail against the Serb Aleksandar Drenovak ( 3-0) and moved into the semi-finals. In October 2013 he started in the middleweight division at the 17th World Championships in Almaty.
