Zoran Thaler

Zoran Thaler ( born January 21, 1962 in Kranj, Yugoslavia, now Slovenia) is a Slovenian politician.

Life

Thaler studied at the University of Ljubljana political science and was at that time the Socialist Youth Association of Slovenia ( ZSMS ), which was converted into the party Liberal Democracy of Slovenia, 1990. For this party, he moved to the general election in 1990 the Parliament of the then Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia for belonging Slovenia. He was first deputy foreign minister from 1995 to 1997 he was Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia. After that, he held various positions in business, including serving from 2004 to 2006 CEO of the mobile operator Simobil. After the European elections in 2009, he moved as a candidate of a democratic Socialni the European Parliament.

In March 2011, the British Sunday Times exposed the cash-for- Laws affair. As lobbyists disguised journalists of the newspaper from 2010 had several MEPs offered huge amounts of money if they influence in its favor on the legislation in the European Parliament.
