Zvonimir Vukić

Zvonimir Vukić ( born July 19, 1979 in Zrenjanin, SFR Yugoslavia) is a football player from Serbia.

His career began in 1997 Vukić Proleter Zrenjanin, before joining as a 19 -year-old to Atletico Madrid. There he played as a junior hope first and foremost in Atletico B selection. In 2000 he moved back to his home to Partizan Belgrade, where he scored 36 goals in 59 Premier League matches and in 2002 won the Serbian Cup. Under coach Lothar Matthäus he played with Partizan in the following year in the Champions League, where the Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk became aware of him. As a free-scoring midfielder of Donetsk, he made a name for himself with his free-kicks and his game overview. Since September 2005, he plays for Portsmouth FC in England.

In the Football World Cup 2006, he was on the national team of Serbia and Montenegro.
