  • MARCH 29: Clark Gable married Carole Lombard. The couple is so that the new dream of Hollywood.
  • April 5: The propaganda of the Nazis director, Veit Harlan, marries the heroine of his films Kristina Söderbaum.
  • MAY 13: Another dream pair closes the knot: Barbara Stanwyck and Robert Taylor.
  • July 1: After the divorce of his Jewish wife marries Heinz Hertha Feiler Riihmann.
  • August 12: First performance of The Wizard of Oz. Also known as The Wizard of Oz movie become known in the ensuing period, an icon of American cultural history. In 2007 he was admitted into the list of world cultural heritage list of UNESCO.
  • December 15: Premiere of the "Century film " Gone with the Wind. After inflation-adjusted grossing this production is still the most commercially successful work of film history.
