1973–74 European Cup (handball)

At the European Champions Cup in 1973/74 took 24 handball club teams from 23 countries participate. These qualified in the previous season in their home countries for the European Cup. In the 14th edition of the competition, VfL Gummersbach won his fourth title with a victory in the final against the defending Moscow in May.

First round

With a bye SC Empor Rostock, CSKA Moscow, IF Saab, Union Krems, TSV St. Otmar St. Gallen, Helsingfors IFK, Honvéd Budapest and defending Moscow in May moved directly into the knockout stages.

The finale was held at the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund on 21 April 1974.
