1983 Copa Libertadores
The Copa Libertadores 1983 was the 24th edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. 21 teams took part. It took the national champions of CONMEBOL countries and the second part respectively. The participants completed titleholder CA Peñarol. The tournament began on 4 March and ended on 28 July 1983 on the final play-off. The Brazilian representative Gremio won the final against CA Peñarol and won for the first time the Copa Libertadores.
