1995–96 UEFA Champions League

The UEFA Champions League 1995/96 was the fourth season of the most important European competition for club teams in football under this name and the 41st overall. There were again not all reported state champion at the start, since due to the increased number of member associations since the early 1990s, the UEFA had decided to start in the UEFA five year ranking lower -placed champions of the UEFA Cup in 1995/96. So took, including the defending champion and current Dutch champion Ajax Amsterdam as last year only 24 teams in the contest.

The final took place on 22 May 1996 in the Italian capital Rome held at the Olympic Stadium.

Mode

In the game mode, there were no changes from the previous year. However, this was the first season in which the group stage for a win three points were awarded.
