2008–09 Süper Lig

Turkcell Süper Lig 2008/ 09 was the 51th season of the highest Turkish football league of men. The season began on 23 August 2008 at a home game against reigning champions Galatasaray Denizlispor (4:1) and ended on 30 May 2009 with the 34th game day.

Cup decision

Master of the 2008/09 season was Beşiktaş Istanbul. The season started not optimal for black-and- whites. On 6 Round Ertuğrul Sağlam announced his position as head coach at Beşiktaş. He was succeeded by Mustafa Denizli, Denizli, it became the first coach in Turkish football to train all three major clubs from Istanbul.
