2009–10 NBA season

The NBA season 2009/10 was the 64th season of the National Basketball Association. The regular season began on 27 October 2009 and ended on April 14, 2010. Subsequently, the NBA playoffs followed on April 17, 2010, which ended in mid-June with the NBA Finals.

Course of the season

Referee strike

The 57 professional referees in the NBA announced after the fruitless bargaining with the NBA in Chicago, not to participate in the annual training camp before the season starts. The NBA did not respond to the behavior of the referee and locked them out for the pre-season. Instead kicks off in preparation arbitrator from the lower leagues and the WNBA. Regular Season

All-Star Game

The All-Star Game 2010 took place on 14 February 2010 in front of 108,713 fans at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington instead. The selection of the East won the game with 141:139. MVP of the game was Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat.
