2009–10 Swiss Super League

The 113 Swiss football championship was held until May 16, 2010 of 11 July 2009. Champion FC Basel, who won the decisive season game against BSC Young Boys 2-0. This Basel won the 13th league title history.

At the Axpo Super League, the top division, participated ten teams, while each team completed 36 games. The Grasshopper Club Zurich and FC Luzern qualified for the Europa League. After 29 years of continuous membership in the highest league of FC Aarau dismounted in the Challenge League. The AC Bellinzona played as the second last Barrage against FC Lugano, the runner-up for the Challenge League, the second division, where Bellinzona was able to prevail and thus managed to avoid relegation. The direct ascent from the Challenge League managed to FC Thun. In the first league, the third- highest division, the SR Delémont and FC Chiasso won the play-offs.
