2010 JSM Challenger of Champaign–Urbana

The JSM Challenger of Champaign - Urbana 2010 was a tennis tournament, which was held in Champaign (Illinois ) from 15 until November 20, 2010. It was Challenger as part of the ATP Tour in 2010, the ninth edition of the tournament and was held in the indoor hard courts.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. Ahead there was a qualifying round for both the single and the double tournament. So for the item 16 participants from four starting points were awarded and doubles could qualify one of four pairings for the main draw. The prize money of the event was as in the previous year total of 50,000 €.

Winner of the individual competition was set at position six American Alex Bogomolov Jr., who defeated the wildcard owner Amer Delić in three sets. It was Bogomolovs seventh individual title at Challenger level and his only title of the season. Last year's winner Michael Russell came into this year not to defend his title.

The doubles competition won two of three selected South African Raven Klaasen and Izak van der Merwe. She defeated top-seeded in the finals Ryler Deheart and Pierre- Ludovic Duclos in the match tie-break. It was van der Merwes eleventh challenger title of his career and fourth of the season. For Klaasen it was the third title of his career and the second of the season. The first title he won also on the side of van der Merwe. The defending champion Brian and Betti Stone For both participated in this year not participate in the tournament.

This van der Merwe managed the defense of his title from last year, which he had won along with Raven Klaasen. Klaasen failed this year with his new partner John Paul Fruttero in the semifinals.
