2010 Knoxville Challenger

The Knoxville Challenger 2010 was a tennis tournament, which was held in Knoxville from 7 to 14 November 2010. It was Challenger as part of the ATP Tour in 2010, the seventh edition of the tournament and was held in the indoor hard courts.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. Ahead there was a qualification tournament for the single round in which 16 participants from four starting points were awarded. The prize money of the event was as in the previous year total of 50,000 €.

Winner of the individual competition was set at position three Japanese Kei Nishikori He won the final against the set at position six Americans Robert Kendrick in straight sets. It was Nishikoris fifth individual title at Challenger level and his fourth title of the season. Last year's winner Taylor Dent came into this year not to defend his title.

The doubles competition won the set at position three South African Rik de Voest and Izak van der Merwe. You defeated in the finals unseeded pairing of the local hero Alex Bogomolov Jr. and Alex Kuznetsov two sentences. The defending champion Martin Emmrich and Andreas Siljeström occurred this year, not at the tournament.

Prior to the tournament, there was a sickness cancellation. The set of five Marinko Matosevic position was still able to participate in a double due to an infection, neither in singles. In individual so moved the South African Fritz Wolmarans in the peloton, in a double pairing of Raven Klaasen, who also hails from South Africa, and the American John Paul Fruttero.
