2011 Knoxville Challenger

The Knoxville Challenger 2011 was a tennis tournament, which was held in Knoxville from 6 to 13 November 2011. It was Challenger as part of the ATP Tour in 2011, the eighth edition of the tournament and was held in the indoor hard courts.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. Ahead there was a qualification tournament for the single round in which 16 participants from four starting points were awarded. The prize money of the event was as in the previous year total of 50,000 €.

Winner of the individual competition of the American Jesse Levine, who held by a Special Exempt decision of the tournament committee due to his final appearance in front of the Knoxville Challenger Virginia National Bank Men 's Pro Championship 2011 was in Charlottesville could not take part in qualifying. He won the all-American final against qualifier Brian Baker in straight sets. It was Levine's fourth individual title at Challenger level and his first title of the season. Last year's winner Kei Nishikori came this year not to defend his title.

The doubles competition won the wildcard owner Steve Johnson and Austin Krajicek of the United States. You defeated in the finals unseeded pair consisting of Adam Hubble and Frederik Nielsen in the match tie-break. The defending champion Rik de Voest and Izak van der Merwe from South Africa failed in the quarterfinals to the eventual tournament winners. It was Challenger for both of the respective first doubles title of her career on the ATP Tour.

Ahead of the doubles competition set at position four Harri Heliövaara and Denys Molchanov were excluded from participation. This was due to the previous disqualification of Molchanov in the first round in singles, where he met a ball boy with his bat. As a substitute Roman Borvanov and Nima Roshan played in the main round.
