2011 IPP Open

The IPP Open 2011 was a tennis tournament which took place in Helsinki from 21 to 27 November 2011. It was Challenger as part of the ATP Tour in 2011, the eleventh edition of the tournament and was held in the indoor hard courts.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. Ahead there was a qualification tournament for the single round in which 16 participants from four starting points were awarded. The prize money of the event was as in the previous year total of € 106,500.

Winner of the individual competition was the unseeded German Daniel Brands, who also his unseeded countryman Matthias Bachinger in straight sets, both of which were decided in the tie-break, beat in the final. It was Brands fifth individual title at Challenger level and his second title of the season. Last year's winner Ričardas Berankis came into this year not to defend his title.

The doubles competition won the ungsetzte pairing consisting of the German Martin Emmrich and Andreas Siljeström Sweden. She defeated top-seeded in the finals James Cerretani and Michal Mertiňák in two sets. So Emmrich was able to defend his title from last year. He defeated in the semifinals here last year and his partner Dustin Brown with his new partner Michael Kohlmann. It was Emmrichs ninth challenger title of his career and fourth of the season. For Siljeström it was the sixth career title and also the fourth of the season, which he won three along with Emmrich. Overall victory in the IPP Open 2011 was the fifth joint titles of the two doubles players.

Prior to the tournament, there was a cancellation due to injury: The seeded Jarkko Nieminen fin position two could not participate in the single competition because of neck problems. For him, Joshua Milton enlisted as a lucky loser in the bunch.
