2011 Roma Open

The Roma Open 2011 was the tenth edition of the tennis clay court tournament in Rome. It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour in 2011 and was held from 2nd to 7th May 2011.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. For the individual tournament, a qualifying round with 30 participants took place in the run-up in which four players were able to qualify for the main draw. The prize money of the event was a total of 30,000 €.

Prior to the set at position four German Andreas Beck was forced to withdraw his participation because of back problems. For him, Bastian Knittel enlisted as a lucky loser into the main draw.

In individual was won by Italian Simone Bolelli, who drew a wildcard into the main draw. He sat down in the final against the unseeded Argentinian Eduardo Schwank in three sets by sat. This what the sixth Challenger singles title of his career and the first this season. Federico del Bonis last year's winner from Argentina did not appear to defend their title.

In the doubles competition the finals to win the unseeded Colombian pair of Juan Sebastian Cabal and consisting Robert Farah against the top-seeded Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico and Travis Rettenmaier from the United States in the match tie-break. This was CABAL ninth and sixth Farah's success in a doubles tournament of the Challenger category of their two careers. It was their sixth joint title and her third of the season. Last year's winners Mario Ančić and Ivan Dodig of Croatia both did not occur to defend their title.
