2010 World Snooker Championship
The Snooker World Championship 2010 took place from 17 April to 3 May 2010 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield held and concluded the snooker season 2009/10. World champion Neil Robertson was for a 18:13 in the final against Graeme Dott. He won the title he was the first non-Europeans since Cliff Thorburn in 1980.
Defending champion was the Scot John Higgins. Before the final of the World Cup a betting scandal was uncovered by the tabloid News of the World, which resulted in Higgins received a six month suspension.

With 60 Century Breaks during this World Cup a record from 2009 (83 Centuries ) was not improved. The highest break in the main round was achieved with 146 points, both by Mark Allen and Graeme Dott. John Higgins ' Break of 115 points in the second round was his 100th Century break at the Crucible Theatre. Graeme Dott reached the maximum number of eight Century Breaks.
