History

The place dates back to a former castle directly on the Tollense, which is called "Schlossberg" and still be seen as a floor monument. Here was the second next to the castle in the east still existing river crossing between Pomerania and Klempenow. Until 1653 it was a knight -scientific feud of the family of Buggenhagen. 1705 then came into the possession of the estate of Christian von Linden. The Linden were originally Szczecin grain dealer and have been in the Great Northern War, the Swedish King Charles XII. ennobled. Already in 1785 died from the family of Linden, Broock came through adoption and inheritance to the landlords of Tützpatz, Friedrich von Heyden, who founded the line of Heyden -Linden. Decades later, they sold Broock Family of Seckendorf who owned the estate until 1945. The Broock castle was listed in the Tudor style in 1770 and 1840 and 1850 have been extensively remodeled. Middle of the 19th century was created from a design by Peter Joseph, an English landscape park. Since the 1980s, the manor house and sometimes the facilities are empty, the decline is becoming more visible, as in many mecklenburger Vorpommern and estates.

The district Hohenbüssow was from about 1825-1865 beach resort, remains of which can still be seen. The village was awarded in the 1930s as the " Most Beautiful vorpommersches village".
