Katzow
Katzow is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald. The community is managed by the Office Lubmin based in Lubmin.
Geography and transport
Katzow between Greifswald and Wolgast north of state road 109 Approximately six kilometers east of the municipality is the town of Wolgast and nine kilometers north is the official residence Lubmin. The south of the municipal area is forested ( district Jägerhof ), while in the north dominated agriculture.

Cooling Hagen was mentioned as " Kuenhaghen ' 1403 documentary.
Jägerhof
In the forest area Jägerhof a large lowland castle is with bailey. This hillfort also carries the field names " Wrangelsburg ". Length 311 m, width 232 m. 1877 and 1878 as well as 1968 and 1971 were held investigations. Partly Menke villages pottery shards have a means towards establishing Wendische 800-1000. Mostly the finds, however, were from the late Wendish period 1000-1200 with Vipperower and Teterower ceramics. The forest roads in the field of hunters Hofer Forst are characterized by beautiful restored stone signpost.
Netzeband
Netzeband was in 1344 named as " Neczebant " documentary. The name comes from Slavic " bear ".
Krittowerhoff
1485 named as Krittow. 1782 listed as proofed in Netzeband deserted. Is not locate old maps.
New rooms
The place was named in 1809 as " New Limmer " and 1859 New rooms. There was a forest estate that has fallen desolate after 1859.
