The Bertaut Reef is a coral reef almost completely flooded in the western Indian Ocean. It is among geographically to the island chain of Amiranten and geopolitically to the Seychelles.

Bertaut is located 22.5 km southwest of Saint -Joseph Atoll and 14.5 kilometers north-west of Poivre Atoll. Desroche located 50 kilometers to the east. From Mahé, the main island of the Seychelles, the reef is about 260 km away. The reef area extends over 8.4 km in a northwest-southeast. In the southeastern region, it is up to 3.4 km wide, in the northwest about 2.7 km. The area is 20 km ². Just to the south and southeast the reef area is limited to a length of less than 2 km from a shallow reef on which the waves break. The reef drops down to the base of the Amirante Bank.

200 to 300 meters within this reef is the almost 2000 m² large, vegetation-free island of Sandy Cay, the only island of the reef.
