AS Varese 1910
AS Varese 1910 is a football club from the northern Italian Varese. The predecessor of FC Varese played in the second half of the 1960s and in the first half of the 1970s several times in Serie A. Club history
On March 22, 1910, the Varese Football Club was founded, who took part in the Lega Lombarda Regional from 1914. The club colors were at first white and violet, from 1926 red and white.
In the district Masnago a stadium named Stadio del Littorio, which was renamed Stadio Franco Ossola was born in 1950 in. Franco Ossola began his career at Varese and was later part of that successful Turin team that came in the plane crash of Superga 1949 lost their lives.
