History

The Baltimore Bandits were founded in 1995 and thus closed the gap that had emerged in the American Hockey League by the relocation of the Baltimore Skipjacks to Portland as the Portland Pirates. In the two seasons in which the Bandits played in the AHL, they each reached the playoffs and eliminated in their first season in the second playoff round against the Syracuse Crunch nearly 3:4 in the best- of-seven series from. In the following season, it was enough just to be a first- Off against the Philadelphia Phantoms, as they were subject clearly with 0:3 in the best- of-five series. After two years the team was moved in 1997 to Cincinnati, Ohio and renamed the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, as the team from then on served as a farm team of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
