Blatec, Czech Republic

Blatec ( German Blatze ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south of Olomouc and is part of the Okres Olomouc.

Geography

Blatec located on the stream Romza in the Upper Moravian Valley ( Hornomoravský úval ). Southeast of the village runs the railway line Olomouc - Nezamyslice, the station Blatec located outside the village on the open field.

Neighboring towns are Nedvězí and Nemilany in the north, Kožušany and Tážaly in the Northeast, U Kocandy, Blatecký Mlýn, Grygov and Horka in the east, Charváty the southeast, Drahlov in the south, Štětovice, Vrbátky and Dubany the southwest, Hablov in the west and Bystročice in the northwest.

History

Archaeological finds evidence of a settlement of Gemeindegeboetes during the Funnel Beaker culture.

The village was originally called Tážaly or Velké Tážaly while today Tážaly earlier Tážalky was called and at no time was the Olomouc city goods.

The first written record of a chapter belonging to Olomouc Vorwerk v Tasalech took place in 1141 in a freight directory of the Olomouc Bishop Heinrich Zdik. As of 1356 the place Desal, from 1400 Gross Desal, 1412 Magnus Dezal, 1430 and 1499 Magnum Desal Tážaly was called. In 1369, the name Blaczcze can demonstrate for the first time; which is from 1492 and can be found in the Czech form Blatec 1508 Blatcze. Both names were used until the mid-16th century in parallel. Since 1500 Tážaly belonged to the estates of the city of Olomouc. In 1550, for the last time Great to find Desal, then only Blatec, Blatce (from 1587 ), Blocz (1601 ), Blatze (from 1655) and Blatz (1828 ). This also allows for the interpretation that they might be merged villages in Tážaly and Blatce by two, in the 16th century. The parish registers are performed in Charváty since 1653. The scale than Rundling place is completely fenced earlier, and have been accessible through two opposite gates of the east and west only in the northern part. Later Blatce underwent an expansion to the east, outside the gate, which consists of two rows of houses Zábraní settlement arose. Until the mid- 19th century, the village always the city of Olomouc remained submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Blatec / Blatze formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Olomouc. By the end of the 19th century the village was often cut off only accessible via dirt roads and in winter or in rainy weather from the outside world. As of 1921, the village belonged to Okres Olomouc- venkov. In 1922, the village green, which was passed with a pear Wiesenplatz until then flowed over the the muddy Romza, remodeled on the initiative of the head teacher Alois Grunt and merged the land. In 1950, the community came to Okres Olomouc- okolí and since its repeal in 1961, it belongs to Okres Olomouc. 1980 Blatce lost its independence and became a district of Kožušany. Since 1990 Blatce again forms a separate municipality.
