Dolany (Olomouc District)

Dolany ( German Dollein, also Dolein ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers northeast of Olomouc and is part of the Okres Olomouc.

Geography

Dolany located at the western foot of the highlands Radíkovská ( Radikauer Bergland ) on the Upper Moravian Valley ( Hornomoravský úval ). Through the town of Bach Dolanský creek flows. History

The first written mention of Dolan was 1235th In 1264, William of Dolan was named as the owner of the estate, 1283 Ratmir of Dolan and 1320 Otanek and Racek of Dolan.
