Suchonice

Suchonice ( German Suchonitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is eleven kilometers south-east of Olomouc and is part of the Okres Olomouc.

Geography

Suchonice is located north on the source basin of the creek Kopřivnice in Tirschitzer hills ( Tršická pahorkatina ). To the north- west lies the Valley of the Loučka. North-east rises the Blata (278 m), in the southwest the Hůry (280 m) and northwest of the Chlum (344 m).

Neighboring towns are Přestavlky and Vacanovice in the north, Tršice in the northeast, Lipňany and Dolni Mlýn in the east, and Penčice Penčičky the southeast, Nelešovice in the south, Čelechovice the southwest, Krčmaň, Horka and Grygov in the west and Velky Týnec in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Suchonicz was in 1303, when the Olomouc canons Wernher the associated him half of the village, leaving the cathedral chapter as a special stipend of Olomouc Cathedral. In 1334 the chapter bought also add the other half of the village. Since 1482 the place Suchonice was called since 1673 Suchonitz and 1771 Suchonitium. The first school was established in 1620. In hooves register of 1657 are reported for Suchonicz eleven farmers, a Halbhüfer and eight Chalupner. The parish registers were performed in Penčice since 1706. The resulting after 1775 Theresianische land has twelve farmers, seven Chalupner, three and four cottagers Inwohner for the village. Until the mid- 19th century, the village of the Olomouc chapter remained submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Suchonice / Suchonitz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Olomouc. In 1890 a new school house for the dual-class lessons. As of 1921, the village belonged to Okres Olomouc- venkov. In 1929 the family Zapletal edify the church and create on its base the cemetery. In 1950, the community came to Okres Olomouc- okolí and since its repeal in 1961, it belongs to Okres Olomouc. In 1960, the incorporation of Hostkovice. In 1964, the municipality was merged with Přestavlky to a community Suchonice - Přestavlky which was established in 1970 at the Local National Committee ( MNV ) Tršice connected and 1975 incorporated entirely by Tršice. In 1992 Suchonice broke again from Tršice and formed its own community.
