Boleráz

Boleráz ( German woman village, Hungarian Bélaház - to 1882 Boleráz ) is a municipality in western Slovakia.

Location

It is located in the hills near the river Danube Trnavka not far from the Little Carpathians. Traffic Technically it lies on the main road I/51 between Trnava (15 km) and Senica (30 km).

The place Boleráz has a station on the railway line Trnava Kúty. To the municipality next to the main village belongs also the place Klčovany (1960 amalgamated ).

History

The village was first mentioned in 1240 as Balarad and was due to the " Bohemian road ", connecting Buda with Prague. 1590 got Boleráz market rights and was raised to a market town ( market towns ).

After the prehistoric finds from the Bronze Age, which were made near Boleráz, the entire group of finds is called Boleráz group. This includes, for example as the Jenny Berg in Mödling, where also finds that time have been assigned.
